The Disaster in District 12

THE DISASTER IN DISTRICT 12

Life in district 12 has been terrible ever since they lost the war in the Capitol. People in district 12 are suffering to death because many people in district 12 don’t have jobs. .

October 15, 2011 – Katniss, Gale’s Father and the other workers were killed in the explosion while working at the mine in district 12. The machine that they were working on exploded. They were trapped inside the mine and died.

The investigator says “the caused of the explosion is the machine that it was broke and exploded. The machine that exploded is the electric generator. This electric generator is were the workers get their electricity inside the mine”. People from district twelve seen the explosion were shocked that the explosion happened in their place. They were crying and running to get help but it was too late because the workers were trapped inside the mine and died.

A week had passed after the explosion. The workers that didn’t get involved in the explosion went back at the mine because workers said “mining is the only way to live for earning money to buy food for our family”.
